AML offer a wide selection of high quality Sound Velocity and Environmental Sensor Equipment. After 50 years specializing in their field, they are entirely focused on customer support and satisfaction.
Their X2changeTM technology is the industry’s only family of field-swappable sensor heads. Each sensor head contains its own embedded calibration and can be moved from instrument to instrument without impacting accuracy. Changing sensors is easy: simply unscrew one sensor head and replace it with another.
Key benefits include:
• Elimination of instrument downtime - time when the instrument cannot be used because it is en-route from the vessel to recalibration, at the service center for recalibration, or enroute to the vessel from recalibration. With X2changeTM sensors, recalibrated sensors are sent to the instrument instead of sending the instrument to the recalibration center.
• Reduction in transportation and logistics costs - shipping, duties, and brokerage fees -
related to shipping large instruments back for recalibration. With X2changeTM, small sensor heads are shipped instead of heavy instruments.
• Increased flexibility for service managers: recalibration becomes a mobile asset that can be plugged into any X2•Series instrument. Field-swappable sensor heads enable any
organization - big or small - to become a virtual recalibration center by stocking spare
calibrated sensor heads.
• Multi-range instruments - the ability to change sensor range on any instrument to suit
specific deployment requirements. This means instrument duplicates (identical instruments dedicated to different pressure ranges) become a thing of the past.
• Improved absolute pressure accuracy. You may choose the best full scale pressure range to suit your deployment depth.
• Greater system redundancy resulting from the ease of deploying spare sensors into the
field.
SV Sensor for Surface Measurements
Available as a Logger, or Real Time data feed
The AML-1 is a single-sensor probe with flexibility when it comes to data collection. AML’s modular approach to sensor installation means that a single AML-1 can be used to collect conductivity OR sound velocity OR turbidity OR pH or any other desired parameter. The AML-1 has one sensor port on the endcap. Certain sensors such as CT and SVT are dual parameter. This means that in fixed-depth applications, the AML-1 can be used to measure CT and calculate salinity and density.
Sound Velocity Profiler
Available as a Logger, or Real Time data feed
The AML-3 is one of the most versatile, multi-sensor oceanographic instruments currently available. The AML-3 has three sensor ports on the endcap; the sensor payload is modular and can be field-swapped to meet project requirements. Certain sensors such as CT and SVT are dual parameters, thus enabling the direct measurement of up to four distinct parameters from the instrument's end cap. In addition, the AML-3 calculates salinity and density.
Multi-Parameter
Available as a Logger, or Real Time data feed
The AML-6 is a multi-parameter sonde, designed to combine CTD data with other oceanographic parameters such as Dissolved Oxygen, pH, ORP, or Fluorometric sensors. This instrument has six sensor ports on the endcap; the sensor payload is modular and can be field-swapped to meet project requirements. The AML-6 can be equipped with UV Biofouling Control, ensuring data quality and extended maintenance-free time-frames, without contaminating the oceans with TBT or other harmful chemicals. .
